My sweet baby celebrated his half birthday this week. I can hardly believe it. In the last few weeks he's changed and grown up so quickly all of a sudden. This is such an amazing age because his personality is really starting to show and he's becoming even more lovable than ever, although I didn't think that was possible!
At 6 months Lane...
- Sits on his own, but still wobbles over once in a while.
- Is finally over his "tummy time" hating, and will play on his stomach and scoot a little.
- Is rolling from one side of the room to another.
- Is sleeping in his crib in our main floor master bedroom, just a few feet from us :)
- Sleeps from about 8pm - 5am most nights, but has been regressing a little lately and occasionally waking up around 2am as well.
- Is still exclusively breastfed, but has tried a few bites of food and we plan to start introducing regular meals soon.
- Has amazing chubby thigh rolls. Fingers crossed they will get even bigger once he starts on food. :)
- Loves to listen to bedtime stories.
- Laughs and smiles constantly... but laughs the hardest for Jace.
- Is so so so content 99% of the time... but cries much harder than Jace ever did when he is upset.
- Love to play in his Jumperoo.
- Is in the beginning stages of teething, and loves to chew on everything he comes into contact with... especially his feet.
- Says "dada" often and has said "mama" and "mom" a couple of times. But he doesn't direct them at either one of us, they are just words at this point. He said "hi" to Jace once a few weeks ago but we haven't heard it since.
- Wears 6-9 month clothing and size 3 diapers.
- Has quite a bit of hair on top all of a sudden and it's usually in a little mohawk.
- Never wears pants.
- Hates shopping. Poor mom.
- Is getting into toys... his favorites right now are sophie the teething giraffe, oBalls, and soft blocks.
- Loves to chew on books.
- LOVES his pacifier. He prefers the Dr. Brown's brand to any other.
- Loves Pat-a-cake.
- Hasn't developed any stranger anxiety yet, but is very attached to mommy and in the two times he's been left for a couple of hours with daddy he's given him a bit of a hard time.
- Loves smiling at daddy everytime he walks into the room... as long as mommy's nearby ;)
- Thinks the baby in the mirror is his best friend, and smiles at him even when he's been crying.
- Has been to Florida, Georgia, South Carolina (obviously), Minnesota, and this week he'll be traveling to North Carolina for a beach getaway.
- Is already pretty tough thanks to his big brother and his bossy/pushy ways.
- Has outgrown his plagiocephaly for the most part... his head is almost completely symmetrical now.
